Talking about photo sharing sites, Flickr & Photobucket are two major players. Today I was checking stats of these sites and interestingly according to Compete analytics, PhotoBucket has surpassed Flickr in terms of UV’s (Unique visitors per month) till Jan ‘09.

I believe the true essense of web is maturing. On the hindsight, if something like this would have been even uttered in any sort of conversation, definitely it would be been mocked/ridiculed since something like this is near impossible or in Kevin Kelly’s lines “there was no economic model to sustain this then.
