Though social network ad spending has taken a hit from the worldwide economic crisis and the ongoing challenge to develop effective ad models but still the online industry is riding on double digit growth path from last year. eMarketer estimates that marketers will spend about $2.4 billion to advertise on social networks worldwide in 2009, a 17% increase over 2008.
