Some of the interesting tidbits in the window of the Digital Future are:

  • Since 2004, broadband connection across Europe have grown by almost 95%.
  • By 2010, Microsoft predicts people will spend about 2.5 days a month over internet.
  • Nordic countries have an internet penetration rate of 76% on average compared to 45% in Southern Europe.
  • Content & Communication represent 65% of all time spent on internet.

All this reminds me of one post I wrote last December about predictability of Indian Tangible Media and I would like to share the results with you (though participation was less). But most of the people did agree that time is coming when consumption of traditional media is going to see some major shift. Though its tough to put a time frame to it, at least in Indian context but change is inevitable, apparently.
