BuzzCity’s Stats on Mobile Advertising Networks – India Not Too Far Behind!
Buzzcity, one of the largest mobile ad networks in the world, has released its fourth quarter traffic numbers. It served 727 million mobile banner ads over the course of the quarter, with a 10% percent increase over the previous quarter. It’s the latest sign of health among mobile ad networks.
Currently, it is estimated that mobile advertising in India is worth Rs 40 crore and is expected to grow to Rs 500 crore by 2011 (via Mobile-Stats)
Though much recent mobile advertising market is burgeoning with new companies venturing into it but stats are limited.
On the other hand, AdAge also covered the trend of dropping cost-per-impression mobile ad prices, due to the amount of mobile advertising inventory increasing faster than demand. Inventory is growing because more and more mobile sites are looking to monetize via advertising as the mobile web becomes more popular.
